By creating an account and using the UseMy platform ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. UseMy acts solely as a peer-to-peer marketplace facilitating the connection between users who wish to lend ("Lenders") and users who wish to borrow ("Borrowers") items.
Lender Responsibilities: Lenders must ensure that any item listed is in safe, working condition and suitable for its intended purpose.
Borrower Responsibilities: Borrowers must inspect the item upon receipt. By accepting the item, the Borrower agrees it is in acceptable working condition. Borrowers must use the item strictly for its intended purpose and follow any safety instructions provided by the Lender or manufacturer.
When borrowing an item through UseMy, the Borrower assumes full financial responsibility for that item while it is in their possession.
Obligation to Replace: If an item is damaged, destroyed, lost, or stolen while in the Borrower's care, the Borrower agrees to cover the full cost of repairing the item or replacing it with an item of equal value and specification.
Reporting: Any damage must be reported to the Lender and UseMy immediately upon the item's return or at the end of the borrowing period, whichever is sooner.
UseMy provides the platform to connect Lenders and Borrowers but is not a party to the individual sharing agreements between users.
No Liability for Damage or Loss: UseMy shall not be held liable for any damage, loss, or theft of items shared through the platform.
No Liability for Injury: UseMy is not liable for any personal injury, death, or property damage resulting from the use, malfunction, or misuse of any item borrowed through the App. Users participate at their own risk.
Platform Status: We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of the items listed, nor the truth or accuracy of users' content or listings.
Users agree to attempt to resolve any disputes regarding damaged or lost items directly and amicably with each other first.
While UseMy may provide a platform for communication, we are not responsible for mediating disputes or enforcing financial reimbursement between users.
